Ilias Kamardine will play one more year in the SEC. After being granted an additional season of eligibility in February, Kamardine agreed to a deal on Tuesday to return for another season with Ole Miss.
That’s a massive move for Ole Miss, which secures a key piece for its 2026-27 roster. Kamardine was Ole Miss’ top playmaker and 3rd-leading scorer, averaging 11.3 points per game during his first year in college basketball. Kamardine played for JDA Dijon in France before landing at Ole Miss at the start of last season.

Kamardine has tons of potential and is definitely a candidate to take a second-year jump for the Rebels, especially if the Rebels can add some consistent scoring around him. With a year in league play under his belt and Chris Beard as his resource this offseason, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Kamardine take a step in efficiency. Another year in Beard’s system should make him an even better facilitator, too.
Kamardine had a few moments of brilliance this past season, including a 16-point, 6-rebound outing against Alabama in the SEC Tournament. He also excelled as a defender, averaging 1.3 steals per game and 2.5 steals per game in the SEC Tournament.
