According to KSR’s Matt Jones, the 6-foot-5, 205-pound Chandler Chandler is expected to transfer to BYU. Chandler initially committed to BYU but then went on a mission trip for two years. After returning from the trip, Chandler entered the portal and followed Mark Pope to Kentucky.
Jones is also reporting that Chandler asked Kentucky for what would’ve been the second-highest amount of money in program history. The Wildcats turned down Chandler’s request.
During his freshman season, Chandler averaged 2.7 points in 10.4 minutes per game. Coming out of high school, Chandler was considered by 247Sports to be the No. 33 player in the nation, No. 6 overall combo guard, and the top prospect from Utah.
Kentucky finished with a 22-14 record after falling to Iowa State in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
