Kam Williams’ injury was a rough blow to Kentucky during an up-and-down 2025-26 season. Wildcats coach Mark Pope had some good news, though, on Thursday when it came to Williams.
Pope said there’s a chance that Williams could return before UK’s season ends.

“Kam will be a while,” Pope told reporters. “Kam is a less long intensive. With this particular medical treatment, it’s someplace pretty soon he gets to just a pain tolerance (standpoint).
“… We’ll see on Kam. Like there’s a chance, there’s maybe an outside, outside, outside chance that Kam could rejoin us at some point this season, we’ll see.”

Williams broke his foot in Kentucky’s Jan. 21 win over Texas and recently had surgery. The guard has played in 19 games this season, averaging 6.9 points per game.
Up next, Kentucky, likely without Jayden Quaintance, is on the road to face John Calipari’s No. 15 Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday.
