Missouri basketball is expected to lose veteran guard Anthony Robinson II to the transfer portal, according to a report from On3’s Joe Tipton Monday afternoon.
This is Missouri’s first portal entry this offseason, and it’s a big one. Robinson has been with Missouri since 2024 and was poised for a breakout year that just never quite arrived in 2026. The 6-3 guard started 19 games for Missouri until losing his starting role to TO Barrett as the sophomore began to catch fire at the end of the season.
The portal officially opens on April 7.
Robinson is still an SEC-caliber player due to his defense and potential on the offensive end. He’s not a consistent scoring threat — Robinson shot just 31% from range and 41% from the field for Missouri this season — but was named to the All-SEC Defensive team last season and averaged 1.6 steals per game in 2026. On top of that, Robinson was a 40% 3-point shooter (at lower volume) and overall had better shooting splits in 2025.
He had some strong outings for Mizzou this year, don’t forget. Perhaps his best game of the year came in the SEC opener against Florida, where Robinson scored 19 points with 8 rebounds and 5 assists in a 76-74 win.
Robinson’s exit doesn’t exactly come as a surprise given Barrett’s recent rise and his drop in productivity from 2025 to 2026. He’ll likely be a top target for several power programs in the coming weeks.
