Otega Oweh and Brandon Garrison led the way for Kentucky on Wednesday night as the Wildcats pulled away for the 94-78 win against the Oklahoma Sooners.

Oweh began his collegiate career at Oklahoma, playing his first two seasons there before transferring to Kentucky last season. In the win, he poured in 24 points on 7-of-11 from the floor, while also hitting three 3-pointers.

Garrison provided the Wildcats with a huge game from the bench, as he finished with 20 points and 11 rebounds. The double-double was the first during his time at Kentucky, with the other one being during his freshman season at Oklahoma State two years ago.

The Sooners were led by Xzayvier Brown, who finished with 21 points.

The Wildcats got off to a slow start in SEC play, as they lost their first two games against Alabama and Missouri. However, the team has responded in a big way, as the win against the Sooners was the seventh win in the last eight games for Mark Pope’s team.

Up next for Kentucky is a game against Tennessee, a rematch from a game earlier in the season that the Wildcats won in Knoxville by a score of 80-78.
