Two SEC players were among the 16 members of the 2016 College Football Hall of Fame class announced today.

LSU quarterback Bert Jones and Georgia defensive back Scott Woerner were selected among the 14 players and two coaches. The announcement came at the JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback Inn in Arizona as part of the festivities leading up to the national championship game between Alabama and Clemson in Glendale on Monday night.

Jones will be the ninth LSU player to be inducted. Jones finished 4th in the Heisman Trophy voting as a senior in 1972. He was the No. 2 overall pick of the Baltimore Colts the next year before going on to win the NFL MVP award in 1976.
