2 SEC teams featured in ESPN’s early top 10 basketball rankings following NBA Draft decision deadline

The deadline for declaring for the 2018 NBA Draft was Wednesday. That’s why there have been so many announcements this week regarding the return or the departure of so many college basketball players this week in the news.

Now that we know where each player stands heading into the upcoming season, ESPN has released a new early look at its top 10 rankings for the 2018-19 college basketball season. According to ESPN, both Kentucky and Tennessee will be in the top 10 to start the season.

If you missed any of the announcements from SEC players this week, here’s a complete rundown on the status of every player that declared early for the 2018 NBA Draft.

The following players left school early for the NBA Draft and will not return: 

Collin Sexton (Alabama), Shai Gilgous-Alexander (Kentucky), Kevin Knox (Kentucky),  Hamidou Diallo (Kentucky), Wenyen Gabriel (Kentucky), Jarrad Vanderbilt (Kentucky), Michael Porter Jr. (Missouri), Brandon Sampson (LSU), Brian Bowen (South Carolina), Robert Williams (Texas A&M), DJ Hogg (Texas A&M) and Tyler Davis (Texas A&M).

The following players are returning to school for the 2018-19 season: 

Jared Harper (Auburn), Austin Wiley (Auburn), Bryce Brown (Auburn), Jalen Hudson (Florida), PJ Washington (Kentucky), Tremont Waters (LSU), Jontay Porter (Missouri), Lamar Peters (Mississippi State), Quinndary Weatherspoon (Mississippi State), Aric Holman (Mississippi State), Terrance Davis (Ole Miss), Chris Silva (South Carolina), Admiral Schofield (Tennessee) and Admon Gilder (Texas A&M).
