A Louisiana high school player who reportedly holds offers from 11 SEC schools has been charged with carnal knowledge of a juvenile.

According to the Shreveport Times, Devin White of North Webster High School (Springhill, La.) is accused alongside another 18-year-old teammate of having sex with a 14-year-old girl.

A top 10 running back in the 2016 recruiting class, the 6-foot, 225-pound White held offers from LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Auburn, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Florida and Vanderbilt, among others.

Police have said the sex was consensual.

But according to Louisiana law, it’s a misdemeanor “when a person who is seventeen years of age or older has sexual intercourse, with consent, with a person who is thirteen years of age or older but less than seventeen years of age … when the difference between the age of the victim and age of the offender is greater than two years, but less than four years.”

Both of the accused have been released on $1,000 bond.
