LSU baseball re-loaded it a major way this offseason.

The Tigers were aggressive in the transfer portal, landing an impressive 9 transfers who were ranked in the top-100 by Baseball America. Three of those new players also rankin Baseball America’s top 10.

That’s more than any program, although Tennessee — fresh off a national championship — managed to recruit 2 transfers from Baseball America’s top 10. The list is dominated by SEC programs, with 9 of the top 10 players landing with teams in that league.

As for LSU specifically, the Tigers’ new top-10 additions areDaniel Dickinson, Anthony Eyanson and Deven Sheerin.

Here’s the full list:

Dickinson spent the past 2 seasons at Utah Valley State and will now be a potential top-of-the-order option for LSU as he enters his draft year. He hit .369 in 2 college seasons and also blasted 18 homers this past season. His hit tool is also very strong, as he struck out just over 11% of the time.

Eyanson is a pitcher who was at UC San Diego for the past 2 seasons. He had a breakout year in 2023, posting a 3.07 ERA and 85 strikeouts in 82 innings of work. He started 9 games for UC San Diego last season but also made 5 appearances out of the bullpen, so he figures to be a versatile option for LSU’s pitching staff next year.

Sheerin is an intriguing arm from Mount St. Mary’s. As a freshman last season, he struck out a whopping 109 batters in just 70 innings. He will need some refinement, however, as he also walked 30 hitters. Still, he’s a high-upside arm who will likely slot into LSU’s plans for next year one way or another.

LSU will be hoping to make it back to Omaha in 2025 after missing out on the College World Series in 2024.
