Arkansas has finished the regular season strong with four straight wins and a one-point loss against a talented Mississippi State team. Missouri has struggled all year long. The Tigers have lost five out of their last six and line up each week with an offense that can’t score points.
Let’s take a look at 5 impact players as Missouri plays at Arkansas on Friday afternoon:
1. Arkansas WR Hunter Henry — While Missouri’s offense has been inefficient, its defense as been the backbone. Missouri is stout against the run, which may force Arkansas to make plays through the air. Henry had seven receptions for 129 yards and two touchdowns last week. He could play a major factor on Friday.
2. Missouri KR Finis Stribling IV — At this point, there’s not much hope for Missouri scoring points in the hands of its offense. Stribling showed some explosiveness last week in the kick-return game, with four returns for 62 yards. He may need to break a big one to put Missouri on the board.
3. Arkansas RB Alex Collins — It’s important for Arkansas not to come out one-dimensional. Last week, Collins was held to 53 yards on the ground, forcing the Razorbacks to rely on its passing game. Arkansas is most effective with a run-pass balance, and that starts with Collins.
4. Missouri S Anthony Sherrills — Arkansas likes to throw. Brandon Allen will test the Missouri secondary, but Sherrills has proven himself as a force in the safety position. He has 59 tackles, an interception and a forced fumble.
5. Arkansas LB Brooks Ellis — Although Ellis doesn’t get the credit he deserves, he ranks No. 6 in the SEC with 95 tackles.
