A Texas A&M signee for the Class of 2016 has been charged with robbery, according to KSAT12 in San Antonio.

Weakside defensive end Alton Robinson, a three-star prospect rated as the No. 28 player at his position in the class, was arrested after his ex-girlfriend filed a criminal complaint with a Bexar County Sheriff’s Office investigator on Monday, according to BCSO spokesman James Keith.

The day in question was Feb. 9, when his ex-girlfriend claims that the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Robinson from Converse, Texas, was hiding in the bushes near her driveway around 11:15 p.m.

Robinson allegedly snatched her purse and ran away as she was attempting to enter her home. She informed authorities of a similar incident in May 2015, when Robinson allegedly stole her purse then as well while she was inside her car.

She says she suffered minor injuries during that incident following a struggle.

The Aggies have not commented on the issue yet.
