One of the primary reasons Missouri’s rushing attack has been so potent in 2025 is the addition of sophomore running back Ahmad Hardy.

The Louisiana-Monroe transfer has already gained 730 yards on 103 carries this season with 9 touchdowns – leading the nation at 146.0 yards per game entering Mizzou’s Week 6 matchup against No. 8 Alabama (Noon ET, ABC).

Hardy talked to Tim Tebow from the SEC Nation crew Saturday morning about his decision to move on from the Warhawks to the Tigers.

“I knew of Mizzou, but I didn’t know what they did here,” Hardy said. “I saw they ran an outside zone, and I ran it (at ULM) so I figured I could run it here. And then I got here and the players are like a brotherhood. And the fans are just crazy, it is insane and just magical.”

Hardy also talked about his love of training horses, which he acquired as a child and carries on today by owning horses named Chaotic, Jet and Cocoa.

“My grandpa showed me a picture when I was like 4 or 5 in an arena with him riding a horse, and at about 14 I was riding by myself and ever since I’ve been in love,” Hardy said. “When I go ride, everything else goes away – even football. I don’t even think about football. I just like to ride and see how fast the horse can get up to.”

Hardy’s full segment can be seen in the clip below.
