Moses Moody has relocated to the Bay Area after getting selected by the Golden State Warriors in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft. And on Saturday, the former Arkansas basketball standout was publicly introduced to many of his new fans.
Before a baseball game between the New York Yankees and Oakland Athletics at the Oakland Coliseum, Moody was invited to throw out the first pitch. He’s known for his skills on the hardwood, but this was an opportunity for him to showcase his arm.
Most people who throw out ceremonial first pitches want to land a strike. However, Moody’s toss came in … just a bit high:

It’s all in good fun, though, and Moody likely enjoyed the experience — even if it’s clear he may not have a future career in baseball.
But Moody likely has a bright future in the NBA. That’s why the Warriors took him with the No. 14 overall pick, bringing him in to join a talented core. It may not be long before Moody is getting substantial minutes and contributing for Golden State once the 2021-22 season arrives.
In his lone season with the Razorbacks, Moody was a first-team All-SEC selection after averaging 16.8 points and 5.8 rebounds in 32 games.
