Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne had a positive update to share Saturday on former Crimson Tide coach Gene Stallings, who had a stroke on Monday.
“Spoke with Coach Stallings and he sounded great. Told me to let everyone know he’s doing good. #RollTide,” Byrne tweeted.
Stallings was awaiting a flight to Huntsville for a speaking engagement with former Auburn coach Pat Dye when he suffered a minor stroke Monday morning at the Dallas-Fort Worth airport. He was in stable condition after the stroke.
