Alabama has a kicker? Fans hype up Will Reichard after booming 52-yard field goal

When Alabama got 1 second put back on the clock just before halftime in Saturday’s showdown vs. Georgia, K Will Reichard lined up for a 52-yard attempt.

Based on Alabama’s kicking struggles over the past several seasons, it’s probably safe to say no one other than Reichard and maybe his holder were confident he could make it.

But, he absolutely drilled it, as you can see in the video below:

That sent Alabama into the locker room trailing 24-20 instead of 24-17, and it gave the Tide more confidence in their kicking game.

How long has it been since Alabama has made a 50-yard field goal? A long time:
