Alabama-Michigan State playoff semifinal hottest of hot SEC bowl tickets

The cheapest ticket to the College Football Playoff semifinal between Alabama and Michigan State went for $151 Tuesday on tiqiq.com with the average ticket costing $376 on the online ticket service.
Michigan State sold out its entire 13,000-ticket allotment for the New Year’s Eve playoff game. Alabama, which also had a 13,000-seat allotment, is distributing its tickets to donors.
A legion of Alabama fans are expected to make the trip, many snapping up tickets from secondary sources. Southwest Airlines added pre-game flights to Dallas on December 30 and 31.
Tickets for the semifinal between Clemson and Oklahoma at the Orange Bowl begin at $102 at tiqiq.com.

The hottest ticket relative to the size of the game is the Las Vegas Bowl, pitting in-state rivals Brigham Young and Utah. The average price for the “Holy War” is $417 on secondary markets.
