Anthony Richardson was forced to leave the Indianapolis Colts’ 27-24 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday after suffering a hip injury in the second quarter.

Richardson briefly returned to the game, but was removed once more and did not return. He was replaced by Joe Flacco, who threw for 168 yards and 2 touchdowns in the victory.

Following the game, Richardson provided an update to reporters on his status, telling them that he would receive an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.

“I’m feeling a little sore, but feeling good we got the W. I think I’m going to be good,” he said, according to Colts beat reporter Mike Chappell.

The former Florida quarterback enjoyed a strong start to his rookie season in 2023 before seeing it cut short due to an AC joint strain. He threw for 577 yards, 3 touchdowns, and an interception while running for 136 yards and 4 TDs.

Thus far in 2024, he has thrown for 583 yards and 3 touchdowns but has also tossed 6 interceptions. On the ground, he has 18 carries for 117 yards and a score.
