Published:
Antoine Sampah was a 4-star linebacker recruit from Virginia when he signed with LSU out of Woodbridge (Va.) in the class of 2020. He was rated as the country’s No. 6 inside linebacker and the No. 3 player in his state.
On Aug. 29, though, Sampah entered the transfer portal, months after being taken off the roster for “medical reasons”, per the university. On Thursday, he announced his destination for 2023, and it’s in the FCS as he will head to Campbell:

Sampah wasn’t able to get himself to a place of full health after dealing with injuries during high school. After redshirting as a true freshman in 2020, he didn’t play at all in 2021. Ultimately, he was removed from the roster as his injury issues continued to linger.
Now, he is heading to Campbell in search of a fresh start as he attempts to make an impact on the Fighting Camels’ roster. They were 5-6 in 2022, including a 2-3 mark in Big South play.
