Arkansas adds commitment from Class of 2027 CB

The Arkansas football team secured another commitment for the 2027 recruiting class, landing LaGrange (Ga.) 3-star defensive back Zy’Corius Huzzie.
Huzzie is the Razorbacks’ third verbal commitment in the 2027 class, joining 3-star running back Isaiah Stephens and 3-star offensive lineman Bradley Sturdivant, and joins Stephens as the second Hogs commitment for new coach Ryan Silverfield as his staff.
“I’m blessed to announce I’m 1000% committed‼️” Huzzie said in his post on X (formerly Twitter) feed.
The 6-foot Huzzie is ranked 89th nationally at his position by 247Sports Composite and chose Arkansas following an unofficial weekend visit to Fayetteville and over offers from Appalachian State, Florida Atlantic, South Florida, Troy and FIU among others.
Huzzie and the LaGrange Grangers went 11-3 in 2025, falling to Sandy Creek in the third round of the AAA Georgia state tournament.
Silverfield replaced the fired Sam Pittman at Arkansas on Nov. 30 and joined Arkansas after his Memphis Tigers lost to NC State in the Gasparilla Bowl in December. Silverfield went 50-25 overall and 27-21 in American Athletic Conference play during his seven seasons at Memphis.
Arkansas opens the 2026 season at home against North Alabama on Sept. 5 and travels to play Utah on Sept. 12. The Razorbacks begin SEC play Sept. 19 at home against Georgia.
