Exactly three weeks after announcing a home-and-home deal with Oklahoma State, Arkansas on Thursday revealed it has agreed to a similar series with BYU for the 2022-23 seasons.
The Razorbacks and Cougars have never met on the gridiron before, which will make the schools’ 2022 game in Provo, Utah, a historic one. BYU will visit Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville the following year. Both games will be in the middle of October.
This is the second notable home-and-home series the program has agreed to under first-year coach Chad Morris. Arkansas will travel to Oklahoma State in 2024 before the Cowboys make the return trip to Fayetteville in 2027.
It’s clear Morris and school administrators want to beef up the Razorbacks’ future schedule, especially after the team didn’t play a Power 5 opponent from outside the SEC this year — of course, due to Michigan pulling out of the scheduled home-and-home series with Arkansas.
