The Arkansas Razorbacks are going all-cardinal red for Saturday’s rivalry matchup against Auburn (12:45 p.m. ET, SEC Network).

Arkansas is mired in a 2-5 season and fired coach Sam Pittman following the Hogs’ 56-13 loss to then-No. 22 Notre Dame on Sept. 27. Interim coach Bobby Petrino – who previously led Arkansas from 2008-2011 – stepped in and has had Arkansas much more competitive. The Razorbacks pushed then-No. 12 Tennessee on the road before falling 34-31 on Oct. 11 and then almost upset then-No. 3 Texas A&M before falling at home 45-42 last week.

Auburn is 3-4 and struggling as well, having lost 4 straight – all to Top 10 SEC teams – following an undefeated non-conference start under embattled coach Hugh Freeze. In fact, Arkansas is the first conference team the Tigers have faced that aren’t in the Top 25.

Arkansas and Auburn have faced off 34 previous times in history, with Auburn winning 20 of those and 1 ending in a tie. Arkansas won last season’s matchup 24-14 at Auburn. The teams only played once before Arkansas joined the SEC – the 1984 Liberty Bowl, won by Auburn 21-15. The only tie in the series came in the Hogs’ initial year in the conference, a 24-24 tie at Auburn in 1992.
