Arkansas will be without one of its senior wideouts when it heads to Charlotte to play Virginia Tech in the Belk Bowl on Dec. 29.
Cody Hollister won’t play in the game after having surgery on his feet, coach Bret Bielema said on Monday, according to 247Sports. Hollister had apparently been dealing with foot pain for several weeks near the end of the season and opted for surgery following the regular-season finale.
“I actually think it was something that happened a couple of weeks prior,” Bielema said, according to 247Sports. “He felt it, didn’t really say anything. Then it really irritated him, bothered him after the Missouri game.”
Hollister will finish his senior season with 10 catches for 140 yards. Although he wasn’t a star on offense, Hollister was named one of the Razorbacks’ special teams MVPs at the team’s banquet.
