If it can be ranked, chances are a list will be published at some point before college football kicks off in September.
On Monday, Athlon Sports ranked the Top 25 uniforms entering the 2016 season. Only four SEC teams made the cut, with four others receiving votes:
- No. 7 Alabama
- No. 10 LSU
- No. 13 Tennessee
- No. 22 Arkansas
The other SEC teams receiving votes were Georgia, Auburn, Texas A&M and Florida.
Michigan took home the publication’s No. 1 overall ranking.
Here’s what Athlon Sports had to say at Alabama’s uniforms, which ranked highest among SEC teams:
Numbers on the side of the helmet don’t make for the most creative lid in the country. But there’s something so incredibly old school and perfect about it for college football’s most successful program. Throw in the gray facemask and gorgeous shade of crimson and you’ve got a set of uniforms that, like everything else about Alabama football, is one of the best.
