Following its heartbreaking 27-20 loss to Alabama on Saturday night, Auburn has already done some quick work when it comes to preparing for the next season.

The Tigers filled their head-coaching vacancy by hiring South Florida’s Alex Golesh on Sunday morning, with the Bulls’ head coach agreeing to lead the program following three seasons in Tampa.

And with the college football calendar forcing many new coaches to hit the ground running when it comes to recruiting, player retention and fundraising, the Auburn program has already gotten the ball rolling on introducing Golesh to the public.

The program will host a ‘Welcome to the Plains’ event Monday, with a live show set to begin at 11 a.m. CT from Tiger Walk. The show will become open to the public at 11:45 a.m., with a pep rally scheduled for five minutes after.

The event will wrap up with Golesh’s introductory press conference at noon, with everything also being live-streamed by the school.

Golesh arrives in Auburn after posing a 23-15 overall record with South Florida. The former Tennessee offensive coordinator did well to revitalize a program that had won just four games in the previous three years before he took over.
