Auburn names interim AD, begins national search for full-time replacement

Auburn has its interim Athletics Director in place and will begin a national search for its next AD according to 247Sports writer Brandon Marcello.
Auburn compliance director Rich McGlynn has been named interim athletics director for the Tigers, university president Christopher Roberts has announced. A national search to replace Allen Greene as AD is underway.

Greene and Auburn made a mutual choice to split after the former held the position since 2018. His contract was set to expire in January.
There has been speculation that Greene’s departure could affect Bryan Harsin’s status as the Tigers’ head football coach. It could also depend on who the next AD is and what the feelings are about the program under Harsin’s leadership after this season.
The Tigers are 2-0 to start the 2022 season and will host Penn State this Saturday.
