Cole Foster had a 1st inning for the ages Friday down on The Plains. No. 14 Auburn is hosting a 4-team regional as the NCAA Tournament gets underway. The Tigers are facing Southeastern Louisiana in the first round of the regional.
AU put up an 11 spot in their first trip to the plate. Foster logged 6 RBIs, hitting home runs from both sides of the plate.
Foster’s first homer was a 2-run blast to break the scoring ice. He returned to the plate to extend a 6-0 lead to 10-0 Tigers with a grand slam.

Amazingly, Foster wasn’t the first player Friday to hit homers from both sides of the plate in the same inning.
You guys.
This is the second time today a player has homered from both sides of the plate in the same inning!
First Bryson Worrell, now Cole Foster.
Are you serious? The odds of this happening twice in one day are… well, it’s 2022, so I guess the odds are about even. https://t.co/IlDyKPGJyy
