This season, Alabama PG Kira Lewis Jr. was the youngest player in Division I college basketball, and the 17-year-old became quite a player in his first year in Tuscaloosa.
Lewis won’t be 18 until April 6, but he still averaged 13.5 points and 2.9 assists per game for the Tide this season, becoming one of their best and most-clutch players.
However, after the Tide decided to fire coach Avery Johnson, it appears Lewis is now considering other options, too. Per AL.com’s Matt Zenitz, Lewis has entered the NCAA transfer portal:

That would be a huge loss for the Tide, as Lewis could be one of the best point guards in the SEC next season.
This doesn’t mean he’s transferring for sure, but it does mean other schools can contact him, so we’ll see what becomes of this decision.
