After getting off to a bumpy start over the past couple of weeks, No. 12 Clemson is set for another early test this weekend against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on the road.

Under the stewardship of third-year head coach Brent Key, the Yellow Jackets have slowly seen a return to form, and now look the part of potential ACC spoilers in 2025.

Georgia Tech got a statement win in week 1 against Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes, and will now be looking to make another statement on Saturday against the Tigers.

While Georgia Tech is certainly trending in the right direction, Dabo Swinney has still dominated the Jackets during his time at Clemson, and this reality has not been lost on the Tech’s head coach.

“A rivalry needs to be just that, a rivalry,” Key said on Thursday when asked about the state of the Tech-Clemson rivalry by On3 reporter Kelly Quinlan. “That’s on us to put the game back in the right balance. It’s not a rivalry if it’s one-sided completely.”

While the Yellow Jackets do own the all-time series lead over the Tigers, Dabo and Clemson have dominated the series as of late, coming out on top in the last 9 meetings between these two storied ACC programs.

Now, the Tigers will be looking to extend that win streak to 10 this Saturday, further cementing their recent dominance over both Key and Georgia Tech in the process.

Kickoff is set for noon ET on ESPN. Clemson is a 3.5-point favorite on the road, per BetMGM.
