Brock Bowers, Superman or Chuck Norris? Kirby Smart decides cage-match winner

Brock Bowers is out indefinitely with an ankle injury but that isn’t stopping a Georgia fan from posing a fascinating hypothetical.
During Kirby Smart’s weekly radio show, a fan asked him who would win in a cage fight between the star tight end, Superman and Chuck Norris. Zero question in Smart’s mind that Bowers would take the belt in the fantasy scenario that’s fun to imagine.
“Oh man, Brock Bowers is undefeated in that. There’s no doubt. I think in a cage match he can dominate, right? Keep ’em in a small area,” Smart said. “He is Superman and Chuck Norris combined. He’s a bad man.”
Smart also addressed the other question from the fan about Bowers’ Heisman hopes now that he’s sidelined.
“It’s tough with the injury, you know? It’s 1 of those deals that if you’re not out there playing it makes it hard certainly. I thought he was having that kind of season in terms of the numbers and stuff he’s putting up,” Smart said. “There’s a lot of things he can’t control. He’ll be the first to say he’s a lot more interested in team awards than individual ones.”
Smart and No. 1 Georgia will take on rival Florida on Saturday from Jacksonville (3:30 p.m./CBS).
