Bruce Feldman gave his picks for 3 teams besides Michigan capable of winning a national title. The Athletic reporter mentions Georgia, Ohio State, and Florida State as programs with the potential to win it all during an appearance on the Move The Sticks podcast.

Feldman believes the eventual return of star tight end Brock Bowers (ankle) into the lineup will enhance Georgia’s odds of 3-peating as national champions.

“I assume Brock Bowers will be back this year. He is an absolute difference maker. Defense has not been as good, great as I’ve been expecting. But we’ll see,” Feldman said. “I’m curious how much if they miss Stetson Bennett in crunch time. But definitely they’re a no-brainer for me.”

Meanwhile, Feldman is impressed with Ohio State’s defense coming off the victory vs. Penn State.

“Their defense is better…Everything looked hard last week for Drew Allar,” Feldman said. “I think the defense is better than it’s been for awhile. It’s probably good enough.”

As for Florida State, Feldman likes the Seminoles as a CFP pick even though he doesn’t think quarterback Jordan Travis is in the upper echelon of quarterbacks.

“I’m not all the way in on Jordan Travis. I think he’s a good quarterback…I think they are a Playoff caliber team. If they played Michigan or Georgia, I think they would lose,” Feldman said. “…I’m looking at Florida State and thinking I would probably pick [them].”
