One of the top offensive linemen in California is showing a strong interest in playing in the SEC.
Bellflower, California offensive tackle Maximus Gibbs included Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, and Texas A&M alongside USC and Nebraska in a final seven graphic recently posted to his Twitter account. Listed at 6-6, 360 pounds, Gibbs is rated the No. 51 offensive tackle, No. 52 California product and No. 567 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2021 on the 247Sports Composite. The St. John Bosco standout has 18 scholarship offers.
While the SEC dominates the final seven list, five 247Sports have submitted Crystal Ball predictions for Gibbs with all of them having him staying close to home and signing with Southern Cal.
In January, Gibbs took an unofficial visit to Florida. Georgia was the most recent school to extend a scholarship offer (April 8).
