Oh no, Cam Rising. Not again.
Utah’s star quarterback is once more facing potential injury issues after crashing into the water coolers near the end of the 2nd quarter. The Utes are up big on Baylor but the concern is absolutely with Rising heading into the halftime break.

According to Utah beat writer Steve Bartle, Utah is initially concerned about a finger on his throwing hand as opposed to a wrist or palm injury.
Sounds like a finger on the throwing hand. https://t.co/Uuw5k8dwrX

It’d be easier to name the seasons Cam Rising has not had affected by injury since arriving in Salt Lake City as a member of the 2018 recruiting class. You read that correctly. Rising is the oldest starting quarterback in college football and, when he’s on the field, one of the best.
As alluded to, Rising’s injury issues are well-documented. He missed all of last season with an ACL tear and missed most of 2020 with a shoulder injury. Rising missed a few games due to injury in 2021 as well.
The Utes lead Baylor 23-3 at the start of the 3rd quarter.
