Cameron Kossmann, a 2-star tight end out of Marquette HS in Missouri, announced on Monday that he will play for Florida next season to start his college career.
Kossmann is a member of the Class of 2025, one that currently ranks No. 10 in the country for the Gators. He’s committing to the Gators after National Signing Day, a late addition to the class who Florida hopes will be a diamond in the rough.
Kossmann certainly has some upsides. He stands at 6-6, 240 pounds and held offers from several low-rank FBS and FCS schools, and he’s considered to be the No. 172 tight end in the class and the No. 42 player out of Missouri. He’s now the 2nd tight end in Florida’s 2025 class, joining 3-star talent Micah Jones.
As any Florida fan would tell you, the Gators are on a hot streak right now and there’s plenty of optimism heading into 2025. The Gators finished the year 8-5 after their bowl win over Tulane, and they’re starting to stack impressive classes. And with DJ Lagway at the helm of the offense next year, the Gators could be in position to take a big jump.
Let’s see if Billy Napier can get it done.
