CBS Sports’ latest 2022 NBA Mock Draft has 6 SEC stars going in Round 1

The 2022 NBA Draft will take place in Brooklyn next month (on Thursday, June 23). The draft class is closer to becoming set, and now teams are finalizing their draft boards.
So, how many SEC stars will go in the first round? This week, CBS Sports expert David Cobb projected 6 SEC standouts to go in Round 1 of his updated mock draft.
Jabari Smith Jr. of Auburn leads the way at No. 2, with 4 SEC guys in the lottery portion of the draft:
- No. 2 — Jabari Smith Jr., F, Auburn — Orlando Magic
- No. 6 — Shaedon Sharpe, G, Kentucky — Portland Trail Blazers
- No. 9 — Tari Eason, F, LSU — San Antonio Spurs
- No. 13 — TyTy Washington, G, Kentucky — Charlotte Hornets
- No. 27 — Kennedy Chandler, G, Tennessee — Miami Heat
- No. 29 — Walker Kessler, C, Auburn — Memphis Grizzlies
