CFB analyst explains why he’s picking Texas A&M to down Alabama in Week 6

Texas A&M (4-1) will aim for a 4th consecutive victory when they host No. 11 Alabama (4-1) in Week 6. Both teams have bounced back from early season losses and this will be a pivotal game in the SEC West standings.
The CBS Sports college football crew made its predictions for the showdown and everyone except Brian Jones is going with Alabama.
Jones is riding with the Aggies because of a stout defense which has allowed 22 points or less in all of its victories. Jones praises the defense for recovering after giving up 48 points in the loss to Miami. Most recently, Texas A&M topped Arkansas 34-22.

.@JonesN4mo loves their defense, and he's the only member of the crew brave enough to take Texas A&M in the CBS game of the week vs. Alabama ? pic.twitter.com/xEhoJhj8G3

“Since then, they have really stepped up and are playing at an incredible level, “Jones said. “Last week holding Arkansas to 42 yards rushing, less than 200 yards of total offense.”
Jones believes the way Texas A&M bottled up Arkansas quarterback KJ Jefferson could be foreshadowing against the less proven commodity in Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.
“KJ Jefferson, similar style of quarterback to Milroe. I think he’s definitely more seasoned and a better passer than Milroe is currently. This guy had negative 3 yards rushing,” Jones said. “They have 7 sacks again. Back-to-back games with 7 sacks. 15 TFLs. I know stats don’t tell you a lot but they tell you more than you think. I’m going with the Aggies.”
Alabama at Texas A&M is slated for a 3:30 p.m. EST kickoff on Saturday (CBS).
