No. 4 Ole Miss will aim to remain undefeated when they host Washington State in Week 7 and it looks like Trinidad Chambliss will once again be under center. On3 is reporting that Chambliss will once again get the nod as Austin Simmons is still working his way back from his ankle injury sustained against Kentucky.

On3 reporters asked Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin about the quarterback situation. In typical Kiffin fashion, he fired back with some trolling.

“I heard this week he’s in the Heisman race and we don’t know if he’s playing Saturday or not,” Kiffin said.

Chambliss has morphed into a legitimate Heisman Trophy candidate since taking over. Chambliss has passed for 1,033 yards with 5 touchdowns along with rushing for 266 yards and 2 scores. Ole Miss in ranked sixth in passing yards and 25th in rushing yards this season.

Kiffin also still believes in the potential of Simmons, who has a career 155.9 passer rating.

“We’re in a great place. I mean, we have two great quarterbacks,” Kiffin said. “We have two quarterbacks that are better than a lot of people’s No. 1. It’s awesome to be in this position.”

Washington State at Ole Miss is slated for a 12:45 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday (SEC Network).
