According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, LSU offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. spoke to the Philadelphia Eagles about their OC vacancy. However, he has informed the Eagles that he will remain with Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers.

It was reported back in early January that there were some NFL teams interested in Weis for their offensive coordinator vacancies. Weis has spent the past four seasons as the quarterbacks coach and OC at Ole Miss. He helped develop New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart and helped turn Trinidad Chambliss into a household name this past season.

Weis helped lead the Rebels to the CFP semifinals, scoring nearly 34 points per game during their run.

Weis, 32, has spent most of his coaching career at the collegiate level. He did spend one year with the Atlanta Falcons under offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian as an offensive assistant.

Weis worked with LSU head coach Lane Kiffin from 2018-19 as an offensive coordinator at FAU. He then spent two seasons as the offensive coordinator at USF before rejoining Kiffin at Ole Miss in 2022. He will now follow Kiffin to LSU as they look to bring the Tigers back to the top of the college football landscape.
