Deshaun Watson knew he’d be playing for a college football national championship even before he played a down of collegiate ball.

Clemson’s sophomore quarterback had this to say almost exactly three years ago when he was a junior at Gainesville High School in Georgia.

Coincidentally, the same day Watson tweeted that — Jan. 7, 2013 — it was the last time the Crimson Tide played in a national championship game. Alabama dominated Notre Dame that day 42-14.
