Well, it’s official.
It is spring football season for the SEC.
Vanderbilt got things started bright and early on Monday morning, with a 7 a.m. practice in Nashville that was open to the public.

The Commodores are the first SEC to open camp, with eyes on a spring game to be held Friday, March 25 at 7 p.m.
Derek Mason enters his third spring practice with Vanderbilt coming off a 4-8 season in 2015.
The Commodores will be focused on improving an offense that ranked 124th out of 128 FBS teams with 15.2 points per contest.
Nick Cole is a former print journalist with several years of experience covering the SEC. Born and raised in SEC country, he has taken in the game-day experience at all 14 stadiums.
