Tennessee legacy, in-state lineman Cooper Mays commits the Vols

Four-star OL Cooper Mays (Knoxville, Tn) has decided to blaze his own path in the SEC (sort of).
He’s the younger brother of Cade Mays, who plays for Georgia, and he committed to the Volunteers Friday afternoon. The 6-foot-3, 275-pound lineman is ranked as the nation’s No. 5 center and the state of Tennessee’s No. 10 overall prospect for the class of 2020, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
After Jeremy Pruitt’s 2019 OL recruiting haul and adding Mays for 2020, he’s building a big-time line.
Mays committed to the Vols over Georgia, Auburn and LSU, among others. Mays’ father, Kevin, played for the Vols, too.
