Cremated remains could be found near Williams-Brice Stadium in the future

Are you a South Carolina football fan for life? What about for eternity?
According to The State, Cathy’s Life LLC is proposing to build a columbarium — an above-ground structure that stores cremated remains — at 1011 Bluff Road, across the street from Williams-Brice Stadium. So in other words, even if you’re not physically there, you could still technically become a season ticket holder until the end of time. You know, from your grave.
“At this point the attention is focused on design and compatibility,” said J. Whitmire Suber, who is involved with the project.
The Columbia Board of Zoning Appeals will consider the proposal at its meeting this upcoming Tuesday.
