Former Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott was in attendance for the Bulldogs spring game.
That’s no surprise.
But not many people expected his name to appear in the box score as a participant.
In what appears to have been a prearranged trick play, Prescott stepped onto the field in street clothes and attempted a deep pass to former Bulldogs RB Anthony Dixon, who slipped onto the field in street clothes as well during a live play.
Unfortunately for Dak, the Mississippi State defense was alert, and the pass was intercepted.

Dixon was interviewed on television shortly after the pass was intercepted, and he absolved himself from blame by joking that Prescott did not deliver a “next-level throw.”
The ESPNU television crew confirmed that the interception was logged on the score sheet for Prescott.
Prescott is expected to be selected later this month at the NFL Draft.
