Amari Cooper exited Dallas’ Week 2 win over the Los Angeles Chargers during the final drive of the game. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy revealed Monday that Cooper is dealing with a rib injury.

“We’ll see Wednesday how he feels,” McCarthy said, per the team website. “… I would probably put it in the classification of bruised (ribs).”

Cooper had 3 catches for 24 yards in Dallas’ 20-17 win. The former Alabama standout kicked off his 7th NFL season with a big performance in Week 1 against defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay, logging 13 catches for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns in a Thursday night loss.

Cooper will get to benefit from an extra day of rest. The Cowboys play on Monday night against division rival Philadelphia in Week 3, meaning they will have a walkthrough on Wednesday and hit the practice field starting Thursday.
