David Pollack was a guest of “This Just In” and talked about the reports that the Texas Longhorns spent $280,000 on the recruiting vist weekend that included superstar quarterback prospect Arch Manning.

It worked out for Texas with several commitments, including that of Manning, the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning.

“Look how many four and five-star now have chosen Texas because you have Manning in the door,” Pollack said. “I think it’s smart by Texas to spent money. The top schools in the country, the best schools in recruiting, they are going to spend a pretty penny.”

The former Georgia pass rusher also spoke about the reports that Texas A&M will change quarterbacks and believes that Max Johnson will help the Aggies offense look better this weekend against Miami.

“The offense only scored seven points last week…this isn’t an offense that maximizes [Haynes King’s] skill set,” Pollack said. “[Max Johnson] is more of what a Jimbo Fisher quarterback should be.”
