Deion Sanders is poised to hold a press conference on Monday at Colorado, and the head coach will address the media alongside his personal medical team.
Sanders has been battling some undisclosed health issues this offseason. After reports of those issues surfaced, Sanders addressed the matter on social media, only to say that “everything is okay” and that he would be returning to Boulder for the season.
Even during Big 12 Media Days, Sanders declined to offer an in-depth update on what he has been going through. However, a video released by Deion Sanders Jr. on Sunday evening shed some light on how serious the matter was.
In that video, the eldest Sanders can be seen describing a particularly tough day as the head coach reflected on having to make a will while thinking about the fact he “may not be here.” The video is dated May 9.
“Mentally, emotionally, last night was tough, yesterday was tough, cause I had to make a will. That’s not easy at all, to think that you may not be here,” said Sanders.
Fans will likely get a better understanding of the situation on Monday afternoon, but the details of the video are chilling to consider.
