He likely doesn’t have many friends in the SEC these days, but that doesn’t we don’t care.

It appears as though former Alabama and Texas A&M head coach Dennis Franchione is going to be stepping down from his post as head coach at Texas State.

Multiple outlets are reporting that the 64-year-old is eyeing retirement.

Franchione spent 2001-02 as the head coach at Alabama, and 2003-07 in the same role at Texas A&M.

He has been the head coach at Texas State, which competes in the Sun Belt, since 2011.

Franchione’s all-time coaching record stands at 213-135-2.
