DeVonta Smith has been recognized by his peers as one of the 100 best players in the NFL ahead of the 2023-24 season.
The NFL revealed Nos. 100-91 on its annual Top 100 list on Monday. Smith checked in at No. 100, marking his first appearance on the poll after only 2 seasons in the league. The list figures to feature plenty of Alabama talent once it’s fully revealed, and so far Smith is joined by Baltimore Ravens defensive back Marlon Humphrey (No. 92).

A Heisman Trophy-winning receiver for the Crimson Tide, Smith was drafted 10th overall by the Philadelphia Eagles in 2021. As a rookie, he caught 64 balls for 916 yards and 5 touchdowns.
Last season, he brought in 95 receptions for 1,196 yards and 7 touchdowns as Philly advanced to Super Bowl LVII. Smith had 197 yards and a touchdown on 15 catches in the postseason.
Playing as the partner in crime to AJ Brown, Smith gives the Eagles one of the best wide receiver duos in the league. After a 1,496-yard campaign last season, Brown seems like a safe bet to land somewhere on the Top 100 list as well.
The countdown will continue with daily reveals of 10 players at a time over the coming days, with the Top 10 slated to drop on Aug. 7.
Derek Peterson does a bit of everything, not unlike Taysom Hill. He has covered Oklahoma, Nebraska, the Pac-12, and now delivers CFB-wide content.
