After decommitting from Mississippi State last month, talented 4-star athlete Diwun Black commits to Ole Miss

The Ole Miss Rebels have reason to celebrate.

Earlier in the afternoon, the Rebels landed a commitment from 2019 safety Braxton Ragland, but things got even better Saturday night. The state’s No. 3 overall player Diwun Black (Forest, Mississippi) committed to Rebels after decommitting from Mississippi State last month.

Black is rated a 4-star prospect and ranked as the nation’s No. 8 overall athlete, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Black is also ranked as the nation’s No. 69 overall player, too, and he’s certainly a big-time talent and commitment for Matt Luke. He’s slated to play DB in college.

With Black’s commitment, the Rebels now have 13 commitments for the class of 2019, and Black quickly became the highest-rated commitment in the class.
