Drew Lock receives pointers from former Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo on game preparation

Drew Lock feels much more comfortable entering his senior season than he did earlier in his college career. But the Missouri quarterback still struggles with one thing in particular — preparing for night games.
So, new Tigers offensive coordinator Derek Dooley used one of his past connections to help Lock get some advice for the upcoming season.
While meeting with the media on Tuesday, Lock revealed that Dooley and him called former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo recently to get tips on how to better prepare for night games during the college football season.
“Sitting in the hotel all day, you’ve been there since Friday, you get stagnant, you don’t want to look at your play-call sheet all day, but then again you don’t want to sleep all day,” Lock said. “So we called Tony and talked to him a little bit about what he did in night games, he gave me a couple good pointers that I’m going to use this year.”
Dooley was an assistant for the Cowboys from 2013-17. After his college career at Eastern Illinois, Romo played for Dallas from 2003-16. Romo is now an analyst for CBS Sports.
Lock is looking to build off a strong 2017 season while also leading the Tigers to better results. Last year, he passed for 3,964 yards and 44 touchdowns. However, Missouri went 7-6, winning fewer than eight games for the third straight season.
Perhaps better preparation for night games will help Lock lead the Tigers to a better season.
