Early fireworks: Tennessee, LSU exchange 1st-inning homers in Game 2 of Super Regional

Tennessee and LSU both came out swinging in Sunday’s Game 2 of the Knoxville Super Regional.
First it was the Vols, who got a 2-run homer from Jake Rucker just seven pitches into the game. After the lead-off man reached on an error, Tennessee bunted him to second base.
Then Rucker did this:

It was just the seventh home run of the year allowed by Tigers pitcher Landon Marceaux. He entered this game with a 2.44 ERA on the season.
But LSU fought back in the bottom half of the inning, getting a lead-off home run from Dylan Crews. However, that’s all the Tigers could manage in the bottom half of the first as Vols SP Blade Tidwell appeared to settle in.
Tennessee defeated LSU 4-2 on Saturday, which means the Vols will be heading to Omaha if they can secure a win on Sunday.
Tennessee is hoping to make the College World Series for the first time since 2005.
